Jäh verstummnt nun der sausende Wind,
sommerlich süß ist die Nacht,
und der Duft dampft von blühender Linde
am schlafenden Wasser des Waldteiches.
Im Schatten hört man ein Rascheln:
Dort walt ein rosa und mondweißes Kleid,
dort winkt ein Arm,
so sanft und rund,
dort wogt ein Busen,
dort flüstert ein Mund,
zwei Augen versinken in deine
und spielen die ewige Treue so blau,
daß jede Erinnerung verebbt;
sie laden dich ein zu schlummern, vergessen,
sie laden dich ein zu schlafen und träumen
in Liebesruhe, in wiegendem, schläfrigem
Föhrenwald.
Derjenige, dessen Herz eine Waldnymphe stahl,
bekommt es nie mehr züruck.

Hi! I haven't found the translation in any book, or in the internet, but finally i've find it in the booket of a Sibelius CD wich contains that symphonic poem, and the text in original swedish version, and translations in finnish english, french and german. It was "Sibelius: Symphonic Poems", recorded by Brilliant Classics by the Berliner Symphonic Orchestra (with Kurt Sanderling as conducer). I didn't know about another translations of Rydberg's poems in german. I'm spanish and it's very difficult to find spanish translations of swedish poets, and so much german translation!. But i'm happy because you have reached a little bit of Rydberg in my blog.
